The Khans verdict on "where a mole meets a snake"

Summarized

Based on the information delivered and gathered at our ordu I, Magyar Khan, came to this conclusion:

"Tera is guilty for misusing his Admin-org powers to enter the Wolf-members only-forum and trading information to enter the Rage forum."

Tera went one step beyond the line between good and bad sportmanship. He may have been set up by EvilTinksta but the final step he made himself. On the other hand his resigning from being an admin of the org forum is the result of a neglected warning and lack of action by the org forum representatives themselves. Besides the org forum representatives, all other actors are guilty of Teras resigning as well: me included. All the actors failed to create a better ending. Tera's resigning should never have been the outcome of this case.

I propose the next solution:

- Tera would admit in public he crossed a line and would promise to better his life. He would stay admin and would continue his work for the community as a whole. He must work on his reputation and we allow him to gain a better reputation down the road.
- Tinky's site would be featured site of the week. I know this will be hard for the org to overcome but my kids love teletubbies although the little buggers give me headaches.
- The community would be allowed to make jokes about this without admin/mod warnings and Tera would be encouraged to make jokes about it as well. Making jokes will make it easier to overcome hardships.
- The org representatives rethink their policy and make a clear statement how they will handle such cases in the future and unban all involved.
- Let's look into each other's eyes and wink and smile.

So this should be it, do not forget to walk up to the chill-out forum and get something to drink.

Every reaction on this verdict is welcomed at this chill-out forum in the Total Wars Animal farm. Rant and rave as you please...

The "evidence"
The "evidence" that Tera did what he did is made up of about a dozen "facts" and impressions:

01- The fast deleting of the original post from Tinky.
02- Tera had access to the org passes.
03- My password on EZ-board forum was the same as the password I used on the org.
04- The email conversation between Tera and Tinky, original in Tinkies hotmail box.
05- The conversation between Tera and Tinky on MSN.
06- The screencapture of the Wolf forum.
07- Tera's deep interest in collecting IP-adresses.
08- Tera offering clan(s) passwords of other clans forums.
09- Tera and Tinky did knew each other from an earlier case where Tinky warned Kenchikuka that an imposter was trying to join Kenchikuka.
10- Teras grudge over Rage(Monsta).
11- Some GWIS warnings about Tera's behaviour amongst some Wolves.
12- My own impressions on Tera and Tinky over the last year(s).

Each of the points above may be commented that they can be falsificated or are subjective but "if 100 canons are aimed at your head its clear that its just too much is pointing in your direction".

Why Tera did this?
His grudge over RageMonsta was bigger than his love for Kenchikuka. I can see no other reason. There was a bait and he bit. Snakes bite, at least the most of them.

The role of Tinky... (and friends)
The role of Tinky can be questioned when looking at it from different angles. The Angels are the Wolve's fleas and should hardly be trusted. Tinky was invited to my ger for some hours and he was closely observed. I have all reasons to believe him on this matter. Good people have evil moments, evil people have good moments.

No matter how evil a Tubby can be at some times, he has rights as well. Ask yourself: "What if Tera discovered this about Tinky the other way around?"

Also its worth mentioning that I got the feeling that EvilTinksta had a/some partner(s) in his part of this sad events. And I am not speaking about Monsta. "If you see one flea there will probably more".

The role of Monsta...
I was warned by Monsta weeks ago, maybe a month, that there was a chance that Tera used his admin powers to get into the Wolf forum. I can assure everyone that, although the Wolves and Rages are -Circlewise- related to each other, at first I didn't believe this accusation and started investigating it myself. Not much at first but later more and more intensely.
Monsta even sounded disappointed, as he never expected what he had layed his hands on. I myself, believe every good intention from Monsta that this should have been solved. He contacted the org-people and waited for a clear response. The org forum admins underestimated this explosive danger, hidden in the Tubby-nutshell.

Neither I, nor any Wolf will blame Monsta for this happening. He did what he had to do. Nobody was really listening, so his warning ended up in the forum and beyond.

The role of Kenchikuka...
The role of Kenchikuka is small compared to the others involved. Although Tera is a member of Kenchikuka, I am sure Kenchikuka didn't play a role in this case. They just underestimated the possible magnitude of the smell from the little can opened by Tinky. After the can was opened they were slow in responding as accurately as how I think a clan of Kenchikukas status should respond. The absence of some members may have caused it.

I ordered my Cham to ask for Kenchikukas clan statement, as many members had written some things and if u look closely to the posts it was more fog-spreading than solving things.

Baz quoting...

This quote from Baz's posts was a step out of line. I am sure he knows it by know and people shouldn't be suprise that I responded "the longer this therad gets the more Kenchi seems to be involved in this..... did Tinky just saw the tip of teh iceberg?". These posts were the start of other posts and the massive one-sided banning on last Friday.

In general Kenchikuka is active in defending themselves instead of showing some self-reflection. I am rude and arrogant, what are the Kenchikuka members?

The role of the forum admins...
The admins reacted slowly as well and underestimated the upcoming danger. They were warned weeks ago as well and just started acting when Monsta spread some posts where I responded.
The admins and moderators jumped upon esp. Tinksta's, Monsta's and my posts in defending Tera. This can be justified but accusing us of spreading nonsense, being jealous and so on is plain stupid. Especially the last day numerous moderators jumped on the case.

Banning me and my messenger from the org for a week shows the lack of ability in solving these things adequately. I can not even respond to Tera's "Final word" post.

Quotes by Tosa
"There's no proof."
I am sure Tosa wanted that the mess would blow over, there is proof against Tera and he knows it. The truth can be hard to face.

"I asked which crime? I'll provide the answer. The crime is all those silly clanintrigues, spying counterspying, provokings and lack of respect."
It seems the admins easily forget that they were not paying attention on Monsta's warning. There was Tera as an admin filling the air with new intrigues and the org forum representatives defended Tera, and worse attacked the once delivering the messages, Tinky, Monsta and me.

"The whole of Kenchi had to be accused."
It started by me wanting a statement from Kenchi, which isn't really a silly thing to ask. And was enlarged by Baz accusing me of setting this up, see text above. Although Rath say he was joking.

The admin Tosa, in his final post only mentioned 2 names: Tinksta's and mine. For me, it just don't show any respect to me and the people who tried to warn the org admins. Furthermore Tosa added a chapter of intrigues himself. Questions may arise: what made Tosa think that only me and Tinksta should be banned at first, why aren't any others from "the Tera camp" mentioned? Or the dubious role of the org moderators? What double role does Tosa play himself by banning certain members and others remain un-banned? Is the org becoming economically important? (I never have seen such persistent ad-banners popping up when you log into the org as this year). Who gets it's revenue?

Until this is further explained, I think we will handle this as if Tosa was over-reacting, emotions is a part of the game of which I am subject to myself.

The org clan forum is the central meeting place of clans in which everything could be discussed. If the org is naieve and thinks that we live in an happy world than they are wrong. The community needs such a meeting place and if people get banned even if they did not post a single thing than perhaps a new one should be created. I will consult ShadeHonestus about this.

The role of my messenger Cham...
He is just a messenger. Once in a while he will speak for himself (sadly more often then he is allowed) but even I can not shoot the messenger -- you all shouldn't either.

The role of The Wolves...
Since the Age of Dawning the -Lonely and Grey- Wolves have been subject to many accusations. The worst accusation by the Shogun Honour Society (SHS) was that there were cheaters amongst the Lonely Wolves. Before crying out loud that this wasn't true I investigated the case myself undercover and noticed that the people were not cheating -- but the SHS just had no people amongst them who could see why some people win and others loose. Although it led me towards stopping the Lonely Wolves and starting the Grey Wolves, the damage was already done.

I am sure that besides some Wolf-members collecting information for me none of the Wolves had anything to do with the current case.

The role of myself...
Some time after Monsta warned me I began to see the fun of this and wanted to play this in a RPG-manner. All actors in this case were acting according to their reputation. I was utterly convinced that all this could be solved in a nice way. At a certain point I even had a solution ready like:

- Tera would admit in public he crossed a line and would promise to better his life. He would stay as admin and could continue his work for the community as a whole.
- Tinky's site would be featured site of the week.
- The community would be allowed to make jokes about this without an admin/mod warning and Tera was encouraged to make jokes about it as well.

I have sent similar proposals to different people but as it looks now to the wrong ones. I have sent many emails to people that I never intented to chop Teras head off. I just wanted to solve this matter but had to ensure Monsta and Tinky were free of all accusations.

Tera wrote this on 12 oct which alerted me.
"Tinksta withdrawed all his accusations and the topic was closed even upon his request. I personally think he understood what I did in two years and that it would be bad for the community to lose me but maybe more importantly for me to lose the community and what that means to me. That was a mature decision and even if he is a 16 year old kid and he did whatever he done, I am prepared to forgive and forget for the mutual good of us all, altough me must open our eyes that these things happened a lot before, happened today and will probably continue to happen."

Read it carefully, I myself was highly interested in the last words. This hides (if he meant it or not) a green card for future excuses and this I was not allow to happen.

The role of others
Many others played a role in this as well, wanted or unwanted. Many good, and many sad, posts were added to the mess.
It should be noted that TechnoMage and BigHairyDeal entered our Wolves-onlyforum. I hope that this will not become a habit for some.

Especially the role of BigHairyDeal can be questioned, registred in August he had funny quotes already:
"You pack of assholes", "Pack of CaPeFeAr you idiot boy", "CaPeFeAr is talking SHIT", "Tinky you idiot", "you guys are fools and idiots".

To ban or not to ban...
If the org admins and moderators decided in all their wisdom that I have to be banned for 1 week as well my messenger then the following persons could or should be banned as well:

- EvilTinksta
Is banned already, for life I heard. Who was the judge on this one?

- KenchiTera
Banned?

- RageMonsta
Is banned for 1-2 weeks?

- Big Hairy Deal
This hairy guy is funny. Who is he? Where is his respect? This guy should definitely be banned. Although I think this guy has an other, better known, name at the org so banning him would not scare him anyway.

- TechnoMage of Shadow
At least he was polite enough to say sorry, perhaps not ban him.

And the 20 other actors should be banned as well then. Therefore I decided that the banning was a result of emotion and involvement. I am sure everyone learned his lesson, besides BigHairyDeal that is.

Who will believe this anyway. It is clear Tera doesn't.

Rath, 10 oct: "It's a sick joke designed to stir up everyone, give a clan and a person a bad name and make the starter of this crap the centre of attention. Looks like it worked."
Stating this in public is not a bad thing to do, but it would been better to start investigating as a clan yourself and seeking contact to those involved. In addition, it would be nice if Kenchikuka talks with their allies Lrossa as well concerning the posts at their clans forum.

Monsta, 10 oct: "Let it die....if it is true or not I am past caring."
I feel Monsta was disappointed here.

Tera 10 oct:"I've always been friendly to people, I made a life in here and made people happy, too much to be forgotten. Above all for the first time in my life I felt that I fullfilled what was asked from me and I feel proud of that."
Its true, Tera has been a friendly character. In general nothing to complain about really.

Saying this made it clear to me that I had to know more about the tubbing Tink. I spent hours chatting with the little Tink, our GWIS decoded all what was stated in the chats.

The way the org mods deleted and closes more threads about such a case the more I get suspicious. In my opnion the org's representatives, and their behaviour, are responsible as well for Tera's resignation and current state.

Monsta 11 oct: "Tera i lost a pass word....could you help me?"
This is the humor I like and which all should be allowed to use.

At that time my therapy was working.

He did and i am sure he had.

It would be wise to make one, cause in my opinion the org is not free of any guilt themselves.

Some of my comments on the verdict...
All should know that I wasn't angry on this case. On the other hand I don't give a shit how long someone like Tera has been working for us. I work(ed) hard myself. Would you believe that after I made the first logfile reader a well know community name told me that now he knew why I had such an advantage over other players. This makes me smile, firstly I hardly use the tools myself, secondly every member can download them on the same day I finished them. The only time I used the compare tool is to see the difference between Mameluk and Mongolian horsemen.

So far my knowledge stretches a Wolf have never been infiltrating another clan. And for all, they arent allowed to. Its suffice to spend a lot of time undercover, you can collect massive loads of information of all those "new" names online and their doings and aims. As in life, the whole community is just flooded with jealousy and mistrust, and most don't even know what is going on behind the scenes.

Since the beginning of Shogun there have been moles, parasites, snakes, sheeps and wolves. Moles and other underearth creatures can actually destroy -weaker- clans. Cuz the Wolves are the most dominant clan in skill, they are likely to be subject of many accusations and the evil doings of young kidz. We had our share of infiltrations in the past. We seek knowledge about whats going on amongst all animals in the Total War community to be sure we are one step ahead of any clan problems. We even helped other clans with our knowledge. People may not like these intrigues, I myself have better things to do but we live in a fucked up animal farm (read: world) and I am not naive.

I spent many many hours collecting information, and some GWIS agents help me. Ofcourse everything could be falsified but I would be the first to revive Tera to his old position if it would show as one big set up from Tinky and friends after all. Sadly for Tera, as things are now I can not believe Tera.

My proposal on how to end this...
I warn the readers, it requires some strength from Tera and flexibility from the org administrators. The solution I propose is this:

I am aware there are better solutions but these suggestions take the stress away from most of the people involved.
